Project description:

Residual waste incineration plant, consisting of 2 units with grate firing for combustion of residual waste as primary energy. Both the units supply power and heat for the communities Böblingen and Sindelfingen.

Tasks: Investigations regarding an optimized refurbishment of the existing heating surfaces to reduce the current caking at the superheater 1 and 2 to an acceptable degree. Therefore, the incurred flue gas temperatures were found out by use of an own proven boiler calculation program. Furthermore, bill of materials, cost calculation and scheduling with respect to required measures have been performed.

Investigations of coal fired power plant, operating in lowest possible loads. Target was down to 15% electrical output.

Investigations of several 600MWel units, supplied by Chinese EPC Contractors.

Tasks: Evaluation of design and operation data to develop measures with respect to reach a possible technical minimum plant load of the respective location. Edition of final reports.

Project description:

Inspection Combined Cycle Power Plant / Cogeneration – Unit 23. The damages refers to the sealing sheets, tube leakages, damages of demister in steam drum etc. The sealing sheets of the diverter damper have found damaged significantly.

 

Tasks: Identification and route causes regarding serious damages were happen, especially inside the Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG). Furthermore, optimization of operation the common Plant (Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, GT exhaust gas bypass and BoP) as well as recommendation for long term measures to avoid the current high number of forced plant shut downs.
