Tasks: Investigation of the technical of the power plant performance as well as supporting of STEAG’s O&M staff regarding an optimized operation of the installation. Furthermore, an identification of deficiencies and finally respective recommendations of improvements after respective findings.

Tasks: Technical Due Diligence (TDD) of the intended coal-fired power plant project to investigate the feasibility of the project regarding the participation by STEAG with equity as well as to perform the operation and maintenance works by STEAG.

Project description:

Problems of an ultra-supercritical steam generator in a 780 MWel power plant with an already installed new pressure part material, called T24. Cracks always happen by to high hardness at the tube weld joints which could not reduced, caused by the chosen design.

Tasks: Investigation with respect a change of material by using an own boiler calculation program for the substitution of the already installed critical T24 material against a long standing proven material (e.g. 13CrMo45) for a ultra-supercritical steam generator of a 780 MWel power plant.
